Extrageographic National Identity

Extrageographical nations are those nations whose citizens are not limited to those living within physical political borders. The concept combines the ideas of extraterritoriality and stateless nation, a people united by philosophical and political views without a distinct homeland and claiming their own sovereign jurisdiction. A citizen of an extrageographical nation holds that citizenship no matter what nation he or she physically resides in.

The first nation to put this theoretical construct into practice was "Extrageographic National Identity #1," more commonly known as EgNI#1. The hyperbrains in this nation eventually purchased a square kilometer of land in the western Sahara as a physical location but their citizenship remained independent of a geographic nation. The followers of Å did likewise when citizenship of Åia was extended to anyone who wished to be part of the holy mission of Åism.
